"....to know him and make him known."
There are people throughout the world that have not heard or responded to the good news that Jesus Christ died to take away their sins. Our church has had a longstanding commitment to sharing this message in our homes, our community, our country, and around the world.
Our Commitment
Missionaries serve to spread the gospel message beyond our doors in areas we cannot effectively impact. Currently we support 35 long-term missionaries - 21 in the U.S. and 14 in foreign fields. In addition, we support 5 individuals on short-term projects in locations throughout the world. These missionaries serve in various roles such as pastors, evangelists, leadership trainers, church planters, relief workers, and Bible translators.
Missions Support
Numerous opportunities exist for supporting missions at Grace Church including:
- Maintaining communication with missionaries throughout the year.
- Praying for our missions program, missionaries, and community outreach events.
- Contributing financially through anonymous faith giving. The family of Grace has pledged over $100,000 for the work of missions this year.
- Joining the Missions Support Group in encouraging missionaries by meeting their special needs.
Missions Involvement
As Christians, each of us needs to be involved at some level in telling the world about God's love. For individuals in our church family this could mean participating in:
- Outreach Events - Grace organizes and participates in church and community wide outreach events during the year.
- Adult Overseas Missions Trips - Multiple groups have traveled to Romania to partner with area pastors in a variety of outreach endeavors.
- Youth Missions - Our junior & senior high students are active in mission projects in Memphis and are able to participate in oversea missions trips. They are also active in local service projects.
- College Student Summer Projects - Each year college students from Grace Church participate in summer missions projects in the United States and abroad.
